  Animations and some Interactive Exercises require the Shockwave 8 (or later) & Flash 4 (or later) Players for Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP plug-in, available for free at http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/director/completion.html
  Adobe Acrobat T is necessary to view and print some files that are available in the courses offered. The Acrobat Reader is available for free at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html. Just follow the step-by-step instructions.
  iPIX images require the iPIX plug-in, available for free at http://www.ipix.com/download.html. At this time, only the Office Safety course requires the iPIX plug-in.

Extension and Reactivation Limitations:
  This course will expire 90 days from your enrollment date.
  There are no extensions, reactivations or final exam grace periods for this course.
     If you wait until the last day of the course to take your final exam and you fail, you will not be
     able to pass the course.
 
Course Length:
  Although you have 90 days to complete the course, we estimate that the course can be completed
     in approximately 16 hours.
 
Chapter Tests:
  You can take the chapter tests as many times as you like; however, once the final exam is
     accessed, the last score on each chapter test will be recorded as part of your overall grade.
 
Viewing your course progress:
  You can view your progress by clicking the Grade Book icon on the left-hand side of the course player.
 
Final Exam:
  Once you have completed all chapter tests with a 70% average overall, you will be eligible
     to take your final exam. Your training coordinator will receive an access code to your
     final exam via email within 48 hours of submitting all chapter tests.
  The final exam questions are randomly generated from a larger pool of questions. These questions
     cover materials in each chapter, plus the Job Aids.
  If you fail the final exam you will have the option of taking it one additional time. However, you must
     wait 24 hours before the retake will be available.
 
Determining your overall score:
  Your overall score is determined by both your chapter test scores and your final exam score.
     The chapter tests account for 50% of the overall score and the final exam is the remaining 50%
     of your final score.
  In order to pass the course and receive a Jones/NCTI certificate of completion, you must average
     at least 70% cumulatively on the chapter tests and 70% on your final exam.

This course takes place in an online classroom and may include homework activities and assignments.

   This course cannot be transferred from student to student.

If you do not have access to a computer with these requirements, you may purchase software for a discounted student price. This course focuses on Microsoft's Office XP Professional software; however, Microsoft has replaced Office XP with its newest version, Office 2003. You can complete this course using the new Office 2003 Professional Edition software, but please be aware that Microsoft Office 2003 may differ slightly different from some content in your textbook.
